I wasn't a big fan but there is no denying the man had a huge amount of talent and was iconic in his influence of the music industry. At 5'2" he had a huge presence in a little package.
The cause of death hasn't been determined but he was reportedly suffering from flu like symptoms recently.
I'm sure the news will be saturated for quite some time with tributes from around the world.
What impressed me about him was his skill at wielding an axe, the man could really play a guitar when he wanted to.
In other news, the Pro Lady Wrestler Chyna was also found dead this morning, she was only 45 years old.
Today is also the Queen of England's 90th birthday, hard to imagine but she has been the Queen since before I was even born.
In more local news, my wife walked in the door a few minutes ago to inform me that she was just rear ended for the second time in a month.
This is going to be interesting, her car is still in the shop getting fixed from the first one so the one she just got hit in is a fucking rental. Thank God she was smart enough to get the insurance on it when she rented it.
