Way too much money, be lucky enough to get one of the four being built and a wheelbarrow to carry your balls around in if you live after trying to drive it that fast.
One of the fastest cars on the planet is the Hennessey Venom GT, but now the tuning company has decided it wants to be the absolute fastest ─ and a more powerful version is the key.Hennessey Performance Engineering took a more deranged version of the Venom GT hypercar to the 2015 SEMA show in Las Vegas, complete with a whopping 1,451bhp. That makes the Bugatti Veyron look a bit feeble.
Company founder John Hennessey says "being the fastest matters", which would explain why he has taken the boost pressure of the 7.0-litre twin-turbo V8 monster from 19psi to 25psi by using E85 Flexifuel.
Let's not dwell on the tuning specifics because what we all really care about is how fast the revised Venom GT is. Think "I'm going to die" fast. 0-60mph is said to take 2.4 seconds, 0-100mph in 4.4 seconds and 0-200mph in 12.8 seconds.
As for a quarter-mile, that comes and goes in 9.4 seconds and it will cross the line at a whopping 167mph. Find a runway long enough and Hennessey claims a top speed of 280mph – beyond that of the world's fastest production car, the aforementioned Veyron.
Those just reaching for the cheque book should know only four will be built in 2017 and that the price tag is likely to include many zeros ─ assuming, of course, you can even get on the list and have testicles large enough to drive it.
The Venom GT is built upon a Lotus Exige, in case you were wondering, but by the time Hennessey is finished with the British pocket rocket and the American monster have little in common.
